Our Future
Our success has given rise to a good problem: we have a waiting list of 80 children!
We can’t accommodate the children on the waiting list without expanding our facility. We want to add a second floor which will allow us to serve approximately 80 children daily. Although our long-term plan is to acquire a second, larger multi-purpose building, this second floor addition will serve the needs of many children for years to come.
Since receiving key conditional commitments from the City for our expansion plans, we have begun the project planning. The City department which provides the teachers will continue and expand their support provided that we can raise the funds to complete the construction. (The department that provided building materials has not yet made a final commitment due to the current economic conditions, but they haven’t said no, either.) A private architect donated her time and designed the addition. Our budget is $50,000 US for the labor and our part of the building materials.
