SueƱitos is Born

Steve and Jorge located a suitable building on the edge of Ciudad Oculta at a cost of $25,000 US. Once the building was under contract, we started raising money for the renovation costs.  This totaled another $25,000 US which was provided in large part by one US donor.  Simultaneously, the City government of Buenos Aires, through the ceaseless efforts of Jorge, saw that we were serious and donated building materials and committed to provide all the teachers we would need.  In September 2008, we opened with 4 teachers and 18 children up to 3 years old on a part-time schedule. 

Our Little Dream - Sueñitos – was open and filled with smiling and safe children. We celebrated our first graduating class in December of 2008 in the presence of the people who had put their trust in us.  This included the City officials as well as the parents, children and local supporters.  And we have grown.   We now have 7 teachers and 30-40 children in a full-day program.
